Writers Festival held on the Gold Coast

Following the highly successful inaugural Festival of Independent Writers and Publishers held on the Gold Coast in 2011, a three day program is planned for 2012. Please bookmark these dates: Friday 26 October, Saturday 27 October and Sunday 28 October.

We’ve also taken the bold step of renaming this event the Gold Coast Writers Festival, gearing it to all writers and publishers.

This is to be a bigger and better festival with more venues and longer session times, which should ensure that there’s something for everyone.

Friday’s program will be a feast of workshops designed to teach you all you’d like to know about indie publishing, followed by an informal meet-and-greet dinner, while Saturday’s program will be a combination of fascinating author interviews and industry presentations. Sunday will feature the much anticipated Literary Luncheon where you can dine in style with your favourite author.

Keep watching for regular updates, and start writing your stories for the competition.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
